About

We aim to find disease biomarkers and elucidate disease pathogenesis using our originally developed analytical methods!

1) To explore biomarkers as potential diagnostic markers for neurodegenerative diseases involving oxidative stress and to develop methods to measure these biomarkers.

2) To establish an evaluation method for screening compounds that will lead to developing preventive and therapeutic agents for carbonyl stress-induced diseases.

3) Evaluate alterations in proteolytic systems in neurodegenerative diseases and identify new regulators involved in the pathogenesis of these diseases.

4) Develop a method to measure sulfane sulfur (bound sulfur), a form of hydrogen sulfide produced in vivo, and analyze its involvement in disease.

5) To discover diagnostic markers for sleep apnea syndrome.
