Research on oxidative stress-related diseases and redox regulation

Our research focuses on oxidative stress-induced injury and disease pathophysiology using analytical chemistry and biochemistry. In particular, we aim to discover biomolecular alterations that may lead to early detection and diagnosis of diseases and guiding therapeutic effects, and to gain insight into the causes and treatment of diseases. Specifically, we use clinical samples from patients with oxidative stress-related diseases to search for proteins and small molecular components that show disease-specific alterations and analyze their qualitative and quantitative changes to analyze the physiological significance of the oxidative stress response and its potential as a biomarker.
