Our laboratory has focused on central nervous system diseases (neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders) involving carbonyl stress, and has been analyzing the biological components related to the pathogenesis of these diseases and the proteins that are targets of carbonylation. Currently, we are investigating the accumulation and degradation mechanisms of carbonyl-modified proteins.
